Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership ( Grande Prairie, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Motorhand - oil and gas drilling. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal/replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
• The candidate must handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
• The candidate must clean up rig areas.
• The candidate must assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in drilling and well services to operate equipment, manage drilling operations, and ensure safety standards are met.
• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
