Long haul truck driver

AOC Transport Corp. is situated in Moncton, NB and is hiring a Long haul truck driver to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan or adjust routes using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
