Chrissea's Restaurant & Catering in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a self-motivated Line cook. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Seasonal employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
• The candidate should work in decoration delivery, banquet arrangement, table setup, and menu design and preparation in a catering firm.
• The candidate should work in a bar to prepare and serve drinks to customers in liquor-licensed premises such as bars, nightclubs, hotels, and restaurants.
• The candidate must work in a bistro to prepare and serve food and beverages, provide excellent customer service, and support daily restaurant operations.
• The candidate should work in a café operates more like a coffee shop than a traditional breakroom, emphasized with decorations such as bar stools and other lounge furniture.
