Heavy-duty equipment mechanic

NORTH MAIN TRUCKING ( West St. Paul, MB) is currently looking for a skilled Heavy-duty equipment mechanic. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must have welding experience.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must verify and repair emission control systems.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
