Heavy-duty equipment mechanic apprentice

Moosonee Transportation Limited ( Moosonee, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Heavy-duty equipment mechanic apprentice. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must order parts and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must service attachments and working tools.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must have successfully completed studies related to general mechanics and repairers.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate’s travel expenses will be paid by the employer.
• There is no access to public transportation.
