Head chef

Royal Spice is situated in Victoria, BC and is hiring a Head chef to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
