Colchester Residential Services Society in Truro, NS is inviting applications for the position of Group home worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Casual employment - Part time opportunity. Required shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform housekeeping activities.
• The candidate must perform food preparation.
• The candidate must resolve conflict situations.
• The candidate must supervise children’s visits with parents to ensure safety.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must manage cash.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
