Furniture cabinetmaker

Industrie CBM inc. ( Victoriaville, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Furniture cabinetmaker. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: , 07:00 to 16:15.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
• The candidate must shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
• The candidate must study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
• The candidate must operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• The candidate must trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit and reinforce joints.
• The candidate must sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
• The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

Work Setting
