Electronics manufacturing technologist

BARNACLE SYSTEMS INC in Victoria, BC is seeking a self-motivated Electronics manufacturing technologist. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Term or contractFull time position. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must install equipment.
• The candidate must maintain equipment in proper working order.
• The candidate must read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must service equipment.
• The candidate must test power equipment and systems.
• The candidate must assist in design, development, and testing.
• The candidate must assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components.
• The candidate must calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
• The candidate must conduct safety training programs.
• The candidate must assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
• The candidate must set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
• The candidate must complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports.
• The candidate must perform 3D printing tasks.
• The candidate must set up IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases.
• The candidate must assemble mechanical equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in an office.
• The candidate must work in marine operations to support vessel activities, maintenance, and maritime safety.
