Dishwasher

University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Dishwasher. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Casual employment - Part time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• The candidate must load buspans and trays as required.
• The candidate must operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• The candidate must clean and sanitize kitchens, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• The candidate must sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have the ability to multitask.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must maintain a positive attitude.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
