Class 1 truck driver

Matco Moving Solutions ( Whitehorse, YT) is currently looking for a skilled Class 1 truck driver. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
