Child care live-in caregiver

Jermaine Foster in Langley, BC is inviting applications for the position of Child care live-in caregiver. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• The candidate must instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• The candidate must maintain a safe and healthy environment within the home.
• The candidate must organize activities such as games and outings for children.
• The candidate must supervise and care for children.
• The candidate must be responsible for transporting children safely to and from school, as well as to scheduled appointments.
• The candidate must attend to the emotional well-being of children.
• The candidate must help children with homework.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
