Bridge carpenter

Rugged River Contracting Ltd in Terrace, BC is seeking a self-motivated Bridge carpenter. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.

• The candidate must be able to handle a large workload.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work on roads and bridges to construct, maintain, or repair infrastructure and ensure safety standards.
