The Gates Restaurant & Event Centre Inc. is situated in Headingley, MB and is hiring a Banquet server to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables.
• The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payments via cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
• The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, for customers.
• The candidate must advise on menu selections.
• The candidate must balance cash and record sales.
• The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
• The candidate must greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
• The candidate must order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware.
• The candidate must serve food and beverages.
• The candidate must take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
